Terms and Conditions

Our goal is to provide the highest quality service, exceeding the expectations of our clients.
Please read this Agreement carefully before contracting West Coast Measuring. By placing an order via telephone, our website, email, in person, or by any ordering mechanism developed in the future, you agree to become bound by the Terms of this Agreement.

If you do not accept all of the Terms, without modification, then you may not place an order or contract measuring, scanning, or drafting services from West Coast Measuring. If these Terms are to be considered an offer by West Coast Measuring (WCM), acceptance is expressly limited to these Terms.

Contract Services

WCM is contracted at your directive; therefore you acknowledge and understand that you alone are responsible for the images and measurements WCM records on site. You represent and warrant that you have the authority to scan and measure at address you provide, on and inside the property at the time you specify.

Scanning & Measuring

You are responsible for notifying the property owners, caretakers, leasee, rentor, etc… that you have contracted with WCM to measure/scan and/or take pictures of the specified property.

Privacy

WCM will not publish or share unblurred pictures of people unless they grant permission and sign a photo release that we provide. We will only take images of any private property that is left out in the open or visible. As the agent of the property owner, you have granted WCM permission to capture and publish the street address and images from the property described. Real Estate Company Name and any other names will not be published unless the agent specifies.

Copyright

WCM (as the measuring/scanning entity) retains copyrights for all measurements/images we record.

Cross-Promotion & Portfolio

Unless you've explicitly requested a Non-Disclosure Agreement ("NDA") option, you hereby grant WCM a non-exclusive, transferable, sub-licensable, royalty-free, worldwide license to use the measurements/photos we record in our portfolio, or in promotion or for other marketing purposes.

Delivery & Specifications

Your measurements (in the form of a floor plan), 3D Tour, CAD Drawings, photos, etc… will be delivered in a digital format through our email service and partner services that we utilize (such as G Suite, Matterport, Sync, and Dropbox). A personal link will be emailed to your email address, allowing you to view your 3D Tour. Although we will be happy to help you to access, download and embed our products, we do not provide any tangible versions of our products.

Project Readiness

The property is to be measured/scanned as is upon arrival. If requested, a property preparation checklist will be provided to ensure the property is in an ideal state for scanning and measuring. If the property is deemed unready and the Scan/Measure Technician is requested to make any adjustments, an additional fee will be discussed in correlation with the amount of preparation required. If instead the appointment is cancelled, a $250CAD cancellation fee will incur.

Service Area

Properties outside of the Metro Vancouver area may be subject to an additional travel fee. Please see our location maps for travel fee amounts. If booking multiple jobs, concurrently, on the same day, and within close proximity to one another, the travel fee may be waived.

Cancellations and No-Shows

If an agent or owner cancels a job with less than 24 hours notice, that cancellation will be subject to a $100CAD fee. If site access person is a no-show, there will be a $250CAD fee. This includes if the property owner is not ready for scanning/measuring and if the property is inaccessible (except for weather or act of nature).

Weather

In the event of extremely poor weather, rescheduling appointments may be suggested and free of charge.

Payment

Invoices are sent upon project completion, and delivery of all products. Payment is due immediately upon receiving the invoice, unless noted otherwise on the invoice. Late payments/overdue accounts are subject to a 2% per month (26.8% per annum) interest fee. Acceptable forms of payment are Mastercard, VISA, AMEX, Cheque, or interac e-Transfer. Cash is not accepted.

Taxes

All products will be digitally transferred to the client upon completion and shall be subject to GST of 5%

Property Photo/Video Release Form

All properties are subject to a property release. If an owner or caretaker denies WCM access to complete a job, the client will be billed $250CAD Cancellation Fee. For WCM to complete the project, (requiring a return visit), the client will need to provide a Property photo/Measure/Scan Release Form. If deemed necessary, the release will need to be signed by the property owner or a representative of the property owner before the property can be imaged/scanned/measured.
